Nice to meet you! I\u2019m Pieter, and since January 8th, I\u2019ve been part of Megawatt as a Senior Project Manager. What gives me energy? Working in a creative environment. That\u2019s why I want to share my first month at Megawatt with you. You might be wondering, why? Because I\u2019m so excited!<\/h2>\n

An Onboarding that Would Make KLM Jealous<\/strong><\/h2>\n

KLM knows that a good onboarding is MEGA important. On my first day, everything was taken care of down to the last detail. I had a slow start, getting to know my new colleagues at my own pace. What immediately struck me was the energy that flows through everyone here\u2014you can just feel it!<\/p>\n

From day one, I was introduced to Megawatt\u2019s core values, mission, vision, and story. Expectations were clearly set on both sides. Do you get energy from an office with a drop ceiling, boring colleagues, stale coffee that\u2019s been sitting in a pot for five hours, and uninspiring peers? Then Megawatt is definitely not the place for you!<\/p>\n

Appreciation and openness<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Two words that describe the culture at Megawatt are appreciation and openness. There\u2019s genuine appreciation for who you are, regardless of your background or appearance. Colleagues are receptive to new ideas, tips, and input. That\u2019s the Megawatt way\u2014not just saying you\u2019re valued, but showing it.<\/p>\n

With 60 people in one big office, you might think it\u2019s chaotic sometimes, right? Of course! But they\u2019ve thought of that too. Need peace, quiet, and more space? You can work from home or use one of the specially designed quiet rooms where everyone works in silence.<\/p>\n

Unlimited vacation days!<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Since I started at Megawatt, I\u2019ve received quite a few messages from people asking if the job ads are true\u2014especially about the unlimited vacation days. Well, I can honestly tell you: it\u2019s true! Of course, the idea isn\u2019t to spend six months on a tropical beach, but being able to take time off whenever you need it is a fantastic perk. You don\u2019t have to constantly calculate whether you have enough days left when you want to take a day or a long weekend off.<\/p>\n

Megawatt\u2019s commitment to ensuring you get enough rest extends beyond vacation days. For example, you can join a personal training session once a week, and you get a \u20ac25 monthly budget through YourCampus to spend on almost anything\u2014shopping, streaming services, HelloFresh, you name it. Plus, you have access to all the courses and training offered by GoodHabitz to keep learning and investing in yourself.<\/p>\n

Project Manager<\/strong><\/h2>\n

Personally, I come from a creative background and was co-owner of a creative agency for the past six years. There, I was mainly responsible for organization and leading the creative team. With the experience I\u2019ve gained working in and with creative teams, I aim to excel in my role as Project Manager at Megawatt and, of course, for our clients. It\u2019s all about balance\u2014when both the team and the client are 110% satisfied and pleasantly surprised, I know I\u2019ve done my job well. I\u2019m committed to every project and constantly challenging myself to achieve the best results.<\/p>\n
