At Megawatt, we strive for a world where businesses have a positive impact on both society and the environment. We take our responsibility seriously and aim to have a sustainable and lasting influence on the creative industry. We believe that our energy and commitment are contagious, and we want to pass this on to our employees, customers, suppliers, and stakeholders. Only by working together can we drive the movement toward a positive impact on the creative industry.
With our B Corp status, we focus on responsibility and sustainability in everything we do. We are aware of the specific areas where Megawatt can make a positive impact. For example:
- Customers: We continuously engage with customers to explore options for developing conscious productions and conveying inclusive messages.
- Environment: We implement improvements in our waste management, recycling, and CO2 reduction. Currently, we offset our CO2 emissions by investing in wind energy through Regreener, with the goal of also reducing CO2. We work closely with suppliers to use more sustainable materials and promote recycling.
- Suppliers: We aim for close collaborations with suppliers to use more sustainable materials and promote recycling. We stimulate sustainable and long-term partnerships to join forces for positive change. Together with the customer, we discuss the possibilities for making more conscious choices in campaigns.
- Community: We work closely with schools, sharing our knowledge with the younger generation and offering internship opportunities within Megawatt. We believe they are our future!
- Employees: We invest in the health and safety of our employees. Diversity, inclusion, and equality are very important topics. We do everything we can to be a progressive employer, recognizing that flexibility and a focus on well-being (both inside and outside Megawatt) are important. Our benefits include unlimited vacation days, flexible pension, and weekly personal training.
An example of our DE&I (Diversity, Equality & Inclusion) is our application process where applicants apply ‘blind’. This ensures that everyone is evaluated without knowledge of their name, age, photo, or place of residence, reducing unconscious biases.
At the beginning of 2024, our efforts were rewarded with a B Corp (short for Benefit Corporations) certification. Taking good steps in the right direction.
About B Corp
