Time to play the final game
Background
The third and final season of the popular Korean Netflix series was activated in a fitting manner. At least… if you dare. The series is not known for having games that are free from danger. Fortunately, visitors could safely take part in five iconic games from the series. It’s time to play the final game.
Approach
Megawatt was once again asked by Netflix for something that is always the biggest challenge: delivering a large, creative, and flawless production. From design to construction, and from transport to execution. Over two glorious days in Rotterdam, every passer-by had the opportunity to participate in five well-known (and nerve-wracking) games from the series.
The giant puppets created instant ‘stopping power’. It was indeed very busy, but… primarily with spectators along the proverbial sidelines. This wasn’t a bad thing at all, as enthusiastic participants were given the time and space to join in. Sometimes you really had to wait a bit, but thanks to a tight organisation and perfect guidance, everyone who wanted to (or dared to ;-)) got the chance to have a go.
Result
Every activation for Netflix is different, both in scale and complexity. This activation was no easy feat, but thanks to extensive collaboration and short lines of communication, we managed to pull off two perfect days. Both Netflix and the visitors were particularly happy, and that’s what it’s all about. An interesting detail to mention is that the giant puppets, at Netflix’s request, were placed in the garden of their headquarters by us. If you ever happen to visit, don’t be alarmed; they are quite imposing! ;-).
