A mega warm welcome!

Nice to meet you! I’m Pieter, and since January 8th, I’ve been part of Megawatt as a Senior Project Manager. What gives me energy? Working in a creative environment. That’s why I want to share my first month at Megawatt with you. You might be wondering, why? Because I’m so excited!

An Onboarding that Would Make KLM Jealous

KLM knows that a good onboarding is MEGA important. On my first day, everything was taken care of down to the last detail. I had a slow start, getting to know my new colleagues at my own pace. What immediately struck me was the energy that flows through everyone here—you can just feel it!

From day one, I was introduced to Megawatt’s core values, mission, vision, and story. Expectations were clearly set on both sides. Do you get energy from an office with a drop ceiling, boring colleagues, stale coffee that’s been sitting in a pot for five hours, and uninspiring peers? Then Megawatt is definitely not the place for you!

Two words that describe the culture at Megawatt are appreciation and openness. There’s genuine appreciation for who you are, regardless of your background or appearance. Colleagues are receptive to new ideas, tips, and input. That’s the Megawatt way—not just saying you’re valued, but showing it.

With 60 people in one big office, you might think it’s chaotic sometimes, right? Of course! But they’ve thought of that too. Need peace, quiet, and more space? You can work from home or use one of the specially designed quiet rooms where everyone works in silence.

Unlimited vacation days!

Since I started at Megawatt, I’ve received quite a few messages from people asking if the job ads are true—especially about the unlimited vacation days. Well, I can honestly tell you: it’s true! Of course, the idea isn’t to spend six months on a tropical beach, but being able to take time off whenever you need it is a fantastic perk. You don’t have to constantly calculate whether you have enough days left when you want to take a day or a long weekend off.

Project Manager

Personally, I come from a creative background and was co-owner of a creative agency for the past six years. There, I was mainly responsible for organization and leading the creative team. With the experience I’ve gained working in and with creative teams, I aim to excel in my role as Project Manager at Megawatt and, of course, for our clients. It’s all about balance—when both the team and the client are 110% satisfied and pleasantly surprised, I know I’ve done my job well. I’m committed to every project and constantly challenging myself to achieve the best results.
